Terri Friedlander announces “Chasing Her Destiny”

SCWG member, Terri Friedlander, proudly announces that her third novel, Chasing Her Destiny is now available at www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com as well as on the Kindle and Nook and soon to be in book stores.

Chasing Her Destiny is a story about love, hope and adoption as a successful, forty-something couple struggles to start a family. After a whirlwind romance, they ride the emotional roller coaster of infertility and adoption where they meet extraordinary women in the most unexpected of places. Along the way they are joined by an over-protective mother, a needy sister-in-law and a devoted lesbian secretary. Through moments of exhilaration and despair, they hold onto their dream of someday having a child of their own.

The consummate career girl, Sherri Richmond, has spent the last 17 years of her life commuting to Manhattan before dawn and working into the night to climb the corporate ladder. Fiercely independent, she’s determined to prove to herself and the world that she can, “Have it all, do it all and all on her own schedule.”

Following a surprise encounter, Sherri suddenly finds herself swept away by dashing business executive, Kent Weber, who seems too good to be true. Kent too starts envying his friend’s children as he jokes, “I forgot to do something in my life. I forgot to have kids.”

Chasing Her Destiny touches our hearts with its bittersweet, zany escapades. The feel-good ending proves anything can happen when you keep your sense of humor and follow your heart and your dreams.

New novel by Mia Crews

Mia Crews announces the release of her new novel The Don Quixote Girls™ written with co-author Karlene Conroy. This Southern Women’s fiction novel is about four girlfriends who have become expert windmill “tilters” while clashing with troublesome offspring, parents, and eccentric townsfolk, who seem determined to keep life in Paradise, Florida anything but idyllic. However, windmill tilting becomes child’s play when one girl’s dirty little secret rides into town and pursues her to a girlfriends getaway, where a chivalrous hero transforms the game of survival into one of retribution. This sometimes funny, sometimes poignant tale focuses on women’s friendships as they cope with real issues of healing, hope, betrayal and forgiveness.
